“Miracles At Sunrise”

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”  (John 8:12)

When the sun arises, and takes me from the dark!  I gaze upon the seashores!  And admire His great art!  The source of life!  And beauty found!  In each and every day! Discovering the miracles!  And bidding them to stay!    R. Lyle Johnson

A new poem was added to the website;  “If There Were No Light”

“The Living Water”

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water . . . But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”  (John 4:10, 14)

“But unto him that keepeth my commandments I will give the mysteries of my kingdom, and the same shall be in him a well of living water, springing up unto everlasting life.”          (D&C 63:23)

Sitting by a peaceful brook!  I close my eyes to see!  The subtle mists of a waterfall!  Cleansing moments dear to me!  Like the dews from heaven!  Fresh drops that touch my soul!  I feel the living waters!  And eternal blessings flow!     R. Lyle Johnson

There is a beautiful poem to supplement this posting.  It is titled “Our Sweet Temples”

“A Wonder And A Witness”

“And, behold, thou art my son; wherefore look, and I will show thee the workmanship of mine hands; but not all, for my works are without end, and also my words, for they never cease.” (Moses 1:4)

From the stage of crimson canyons!  An emerald valley floor!  Indigo heavens are calling!  I spoke to Him, once more!  “Thy wonders stand before me!  The artistry of Thy hand!  Upon this blessing I ponder!  A witness of Thee before man!”    R. Lyle Johnson

This photograph inspired a short story titled: “The Parable of Perception.”  Enjoy!

“Seeing Beyond The Forest”

“And it came to pass that Ether did prophesy great and marvelous things unto the people, which they did not believe, because they saw them not.”  (Ether 12:5

“And because I hid in silence!  Deep within the trees!  God’s vision!  It was kept from me! The one, who would not see!  From shadows, I emerged!  And followed a narrow path!  It lead me up, above the trees!  To all that heaven hath!”  R. Lyle Johnson

“Behold, are not the things that God hath wrought marvelous in our eyes? Yea, and who can comprehend the marvelous works of God?”  (Mormon 9:16)

Sometimes, in the struggles of life, we lose our purpose for being here on earth.  Returning to faith on a narrow uphill path, can lead us back into a marvelous relationship with Him. With His help, we can overcome all trials!   (See poem.  “Hidden In The Forest” )

“The Rainbow’s Promise”

“I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.”  (See Genesis 9:13-16)

“With one stroke!  His brush extended!  Colors adorn the sky!  An oath!  A witness in heaven!  A Father, who cannot lie!  A promise made to His children!  Sky’s canvas now decrees!  A sign of hope, and glory!  For those who would believe.”     R. Lyle Johnson

“Heaven’s Summit”

“His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant . . . enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”  (Matthew 25:23)

And as I reached the summit’s peak!  I knelt and then I prayed!  I heard God’s voice!  In Summer’s breeze!  And listened while amazed!  “Open up thine eyes!”  He said!  “My footstool thou shalt see!  A sample of My glory here!  A gift to thee, from Me!  For in thy struggles beauty found!  And victory now is won!  I ‘m proud of thee for efforts made!  Well done, my faithful son! ”     R. Lyle Johnson
